Mom’s surgery

 

I could share the gore pic of her wound bleeding or the stitched up knee but let’s not do that. So here’s how it went and it’s going to be a long one.

Surgery was scheduled to be on 14 Oct but we did not hear anything from the hospital. Got a call from the doc on 9 Oct, Fri, that surgery’s brought forward to 12 Oct on a Monday. What! We had to rush to complete pre-admission on that same Fri and we spent almost 5 hours. Sampai waited at the wrong dept to only find out that she has completed that last assessment before.

The very next day had to bring her to dentist to remove a shaky tooth. More waiting.

Monday came and we checked in and her bp was up. But glad the wait to enter that lift didn’t take too long and we managed to visit her at night. Looking calm and hugging her emo support mofusand which the nurses were eyeing on. She was on a 4 bedder ward and eh just one night je tau, she took a wefie with her opp mate. The next day, she was the last to discharge cos awaited a forgotten xray result. 

Took her home and when just entered my house, saw that her bandage was bloodied. A spot. After showering it became much more, panicked I called the ward and had to head back to A&E where we waited for 3 hours before the ER doc stitched her up again. Was told that her surgeon did not stitched tight enough. Bro…..

It was so so confusing after we got home because we were supposed to have 1 home therapist and 1 nurse visit but wasn’t told on the dates. Arrangement for rehab was done but still no call from the ctr. 

So their 18 day stay at my place began and while I had to keep up with the cookings and laundry, there’s cases of missing stuff. 1st mom cldn’t find her walking stick which was abandoned in dad’s room. Dad couldn’t find his black shorts only to be located in my stash of track pants.

Sis lost her bra eh for a good 2 days 1 night and I found it behind the cabinet near the radio’s switch. Like….

Mom’s finally back at her home and hope it only gets better from here. Not sure how long my exhaustion gonna heal but there seems to be a lot of stuff going on still.

Amidst all the surgery drama, obek had a fall and wheeled to A&E. He didn’t look too good when we visited him.
