That small circle

 Of friends I want to keep tighter. 

Probably this year gonna be the year to keep things low, jaga this small circle and take charge of health.

Went for an impromptu cycle to Sembawang Road to try Pondok. Was an uphill ride so had to push the bike. Wasn’t that far though. Searched for a spot to take photos and saw 💩 . Haiyo. Saw the progress of the nearby bto. And then the jiran came up with presies. 🥺 Why so many? Didn’t give her a list but she got what I wanted and roses too. 

Food was flavourful. Pedas was at bibir only not tekak kind prolly cos I sedut2. Such a risk to take after diarrhoea episode. But Alhamdulillah okay. Will return for other dishes and kuih.

Finally unboxed! Haiz. Such intricate details. ❤️

Actual birthday is here.

Grateful to be able to reach another year.

A lot of changes especially with the loved ones. So much difference a year can make. 

 

A birthday filled with discomfort because of the tummy and fever. Like Allah said hey enough partying and fun. Time to take a step back, pause and reflect. So paid the doc a visit today.

Had to cut short our 1st me time yesterday.

Played few rounds of congkak.

Visited the Islamic exhibit.

A round of carom till our fingers hurt.

Chapter 2

Here goes.

Alhamdulillah. Everyone made it to celebrate my birthday early. With lots happening of late, sis down with cough, bro had changed to new routine and the parents’ unpredictable health conditions, I’m grateful that all are well to be here. 

Could just easily order food BUT I chose to cook a storm instead. Despite having gone to JB yesterday, I think I planned pretty well. Chicken were marinated last night and there’s not much rempah to be used. 

Also, mom brought along popiah (I had to fry), apam pisang and pudding. So here’s the complete menu from me.

Thought sis would just order plain kirai but this came!
