Probably (MUST BE) the final holiday trip

Well at least for my single life, insyaAllah. So for now MUST save $$ and save and save!
Our intention was to visit Taiwan. Just Taiwan.
We already signed the Taiwan Muslim package in Natas but to our disappointment, it was a no-go as we were the only ones who were interested. It was about $1.5k.
So after much thought, we decided to join the Okinawa- Taiwan tour with the DJs.
Not the first time cos for Korea we did the same too.
I had no idea where is Okinawa but after some browsing saw that it was an island off Japan.
Knowing Japan (after the Tokyo Narita trip), I liked the country instantly.
It's so clean and beautiful and the people were so nice.
The men usually had better eyebrow shapes than mine.
Even the drivers at Tokyo.
But, Okinawa is a lil different.
Our bus captain was generally older.
The island boasts the longest living people in the world.
Mainly cos of the way they live.
They are not money or profit driven.
The island made up of 20% of American air base.
Our guide Hiromi (she's so talented), they wld buy the land from the local people.
Hence, they need not work for the rest of their lives.

Let's go back to the beginning.
We had to transfer from Taiwan to Okinawa.
Luckily the journey was an hour only.
We had gathered at the baggage claim area to wait for everybody and made our way out.
We saw a welcome banner and thot nothing of it.
Then we saw videoman as well.
Woa what a reception eh.
No itinerary for the 1st day, not even dinner.
Settled in Miyako hotel which was NICE!
Oh another banner upon arrival at the hotel.

2nd day was looking forward to the tour.
Kinda boring (heh!) from the itinerary but enjoyed the Dolphin Show.
As well as the Aquarium.
3rd day was best! Walked quite a bit in the cave at Okinawa World.
Eh the videoman made his appearance.
That's when we found out that we were the 1st big Muslim group to visit Okinawa.
They had only 2 stores that sell halal groceries.
About 9 restaurants agreed to serve halal cuisines so they gave these 2 stores a clean-up.
Till they had to order more from the mainland.
Aaaah no wonder the videoman came.
That's not it! We even made it to the national news! Yeah! hee.
Which was shown in the Gala Dinner (the dinner with the DJs).

Main highlight for me basically, I love the outlet mall!
We went to the one at Narita and I got a COACH bag back then.
And this time around, I was more into checking out MJ but ended at COACH again.
How can one resist a 50% + 30% discount!
So in the end they left me alone in the store while the lady settled my purchase.
Tedious cos she needed to fill a slip which was stapled to my passport.
As for the Taiwan trip, I knew we missed quite alot such as Hot Springs and the high speed rail.
They were not included in the itinerary.
But I shopped quite a bit at Wufenpu street.
Fengjia and Shilin mkt had not much for me.
Mainly clothes. And their fashion generally influenced by Jap and Korea.

Our plane had to pass by some fighter jets. Cool hah.

Meals were so good! Eat till ur stomach's full to the max. Plus expanded.
Can spot my triple chin coming? :(

I like this aquarium!
It's really in your face!

Nakijin Castle remains... The spot where they peep who's coming their way.

Great Wall of China?? In Okinawa.

Sis with salt ice cream! Masin? haha.
It was yummy actually.

One of the airbases.

Windmills? Spotted even when we were in the planes! Seriously.

Regret not buying ALOT more from GAP!
I bot a top under S$20!
Oh it rained quite a bit.

Can't believe we din even go in here.
American village.
We were wasted at Jusco Aeon.
Managed to find my fave doraemon corn sticks.

Moving on to Taiwan. Our 1st hotel was on the 30th storey.
After the guide repeated on how frequent they have Earthquakes and that the last one was just a night ago.
Gulps. Mom just cldn't sleep.

Formosan Aboriginal Village.
Endured the cable rides and the souvenirs there.

Just see how steep and high it was!

Hah no more trips ar...
