2 hours to update before a new book begins. 

Ended 2025 with our 6th staycay at Pan Pac (our 3rd time here cos the boy loves the pool).

Nope did not travel out except to JB by train. 

Alhamdulillah for the good health throughout the hotel stays and brief trip.

Loves that everyone’s friendly. 

Still so pretty. 

Loves this view. Just realised that the leaves had grown alot too. 

He brought the son out to Cat Cafe today. So cute la.

I don’t know what to feel about 2025.

Masha Allah. With the recent health scare of the parents. 

And on what happened to the girlfriend. 🥺

Allah knows best kan? For everything that’s happened and about to happen. In 2026, I hope to be able to redha, take a step back, think with my senses (brain instead of heart) and to be more tenang. Eh PSLE year. Let’s just go with the flow. Lots of doa. Lots of giving. 🤍

Loves this with the card from Amari. I truly appreciate all the staff for adding that extra just to make the guests’ stay much more memorable.

Another checklist

 Went to see the gf at her house. 

She’s a lot better than the last I saw her. Alhamdulillah. Hopefully she’ll be back on her feet in no time. 

Since I’m already in the East and we’re not staying at Crowne this hol, made the boys go all the way to Jewel.

One of my fave characters from Disney. 

And of course Jasmine as well. 

Always bustling, always in awe. 

Canopy park’s definitely alot prettier at night.

Amari JB

 

We were so used to Doubletree that we were skeptical of other hotels in JB. And our family trip across the border by train was in 2019.

Little did we know that Amari was so conveniently located. Just walking distance from JB Sentral station. 

Our 2nd day haul.

Finally saw the JDT store. 

And ehhh ada pink eh. Must buy. 

This place so grand and food yummy too. Kenyang maha senak. 

Books that I bought. Got free stickers and key charm.

Sis kirim all masks.

I conclude that Padini style has grown out of me. tsk.

But I got ppg tshirts and blind boxes from Beutea. 🩷

Mandarin Oriental

 This staycay deserves a post of its own.

Because, i’ve been wanting to stay here since forever but it was too pricey. And this was our first staycay for Dec. Exactly a month after our 12th anni. Raffles, I’m still thinking and manifesting on you. Heh. 

The mandatory bag shot. Didn’t bring Chanel out but my sturdy and everlasting LV instead. 

Pool was big and spacious and plenty of lounge chairs. 

The staff actually had to lay out the towels and place our towels at our chosen chairs. They even provided cold water and juice. 

Wait up. Not only refreshing water to cools off BUT sunscreen la seh. Eh nvr seen any other hotels provided this pool essential. Best eh. 

Gonna be my fave pool besides Pan Pac Orchard. 

They put up extensive deco for our anni stay. 

Eh and that’s my fuggle cheer bear. 🩷

Just look at the brand of their toiletries. 

Go take husb’s money already laaaa. 

I once had an event at MO but it was just at the lobby floor and that’s it. This time I saw they actually put in tropical vibes besides the oriental elements. 

And hey they even provided this tote. Saw one of the guests brought it to the pool. Husb brought it along to Orchard. The last time a hotel provided big bag was at Krabi for beach usage.

Oh boy. Posts pretty messed up now.

Should have gone by events instead. But December has been chaotic than before. Despite the sch break. 

MO provided us not only refreshing cold water but juice as well lei. ❤️

Our host cooked sumptious pink nasi lemak siap with sayur. She even had samosa. I only brought along that cake (sponsored by husb), some hotdog buns and plain sugar donuts. Eh my fave jiran also served bubur som2. 🥹

All prepared by me. Husb tolong peel those eggs. 

Menu was

- nasi raisin

- ayam merah

- satay goreng

- plain acar

- sambal udang

- mee rebus.

Betul nye Yum’s catering. 

And the breakfast buffet we had. ❤️

I had choc moist cake, cake gula hangus, bread pudding, nasi lemak (sambal was soo gd), prawn noodles, soto, chee cheong fun.

Wanted to have daging salai for our 1st dinner at jb but they said they ran out. Alhamdulillah had Lesong for our 2nd dinner instead. Sedap seh.

Managed to try Ayam Pop finally too.

Hmm so where did we stop?

It was prolly after the day I sent mom to the emergency and we went for our staycay the very next day.

By the way, so good to be back on my own bed. 🥹

We had long overdue anni staycay over at Mandarin Oriental. It has always been on the wishlist but with the price, would rather go to Fullerton Bay. But MO did great on the deco and prolly will do another post specially on the anni series. Hopefully.

We had free drinks so of course we ordered non alcoholic ones. They tasted hmmm unique. 

The view was amazing. 🥹

After our brief staycay, we had our annual year end gathering. To think we survived P5, that was quite an achievement. Alhamdulillah.

Gotta keep up with the trend and we so deserved these not so little gifts.  

Just returned from our 3d2n jb trip. Our very first time at Amari. How convenient. We were all so nervous because the last we crossed over was way back in 2019. 

I’ll post more on the food we had and the things we did.

Life, lately

 🫥

Unable to upload photos at the moment but I’ll take this time to focus on words. So what happened despite so many events pushing through the weeks and suddenly xmas just 4 sleeps away. No we’re not celebrating but xmas then new year and the whole body and family system gotta adjust to the new acad year. 

Unbelievably, I sent Mom to A&E twice recently. Aha. 2x. First, cos she’s coughing some blood out then 2nd, her elbow was swollen. She was isolated for 3 days and those 3 days were madness. That uneasy feeling, waiting for results. And she’s yet to recover fully. 

The 2nd time was cos the gp referred her. Thankfully, no need for admission but my night was long. Was looking forward to our staycay for Dec sch break and Alhamdulillah, we did had some chill sesh despite the gloomy weather and days. 

Yesterday, finally managed to do a visiting. I cannot imagine for almost a mth no one paid him a visit. And yesterday, although he asked me to go back yet he continued his questions. I’ll do better in days or weeks to come. Insha Allah. Topped up his biscuits and batts. 

Niece’s engagement

 Weekend ended with more love.

I’m so grateful that I’m blessed with so much love from my in-laws. 🥹

 Weekend started early. Busy weekend that is.

Yest sent the son to grandpops’ cos we had a wedding dinner to attend. Can’t believe we got lost but made it on time still. That was close. 

Such gorgeous cake and was so honoured to have a bite of it. 🥹 How many times will you get to taste wedding cakes? 

It was an emotional wedding, bringing me back to the past (more than 15 years ago to be exact) and seeing how a friend has went through so much to be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Praying she’ll always stay happy.

Today was madness what with the thunderstorn. 

Orchard - Mom’s - Cousin’s - BIL’s - Hillion - Vivo

Thankfully we had such a comfortable ride home. And now all settled in for the day. Alhamdulillah. 

A long day ahead and praying it’ll all be smooth.
