Bummer. Yet GRATEFUL

I was confident enough that I could clear Ramadan this year but had to ponteng on the 6th day when I was just getting the hang of sahur.
Alhamdulillah. Let’s aim to settle it during Puasa 6. Insha Allah.

Slowly and gradually prepping for Syawal. Definitely less kuih raya, no new baju raya (but I have 2 new baju not worn yet) but the house decor must go on.
Can’t believe I am enjoying decorating the house over time.
And this year’s theme; Korean! 🇰🇷

Aha. Lights up! My 3 year old fairylights.
Still as pretty and bright.

Got a delivery from sis today! A little early for Raya hamper but Alhamdulillah.
Had the yummy sugee cake for break fast tadi and hoping to save the bottled cookie and granola for Raya. 😍

Almost 5th Ramadan

Wooots! Are we almost a week into Ramadan?
Alhamdulillah! Gradually getting into the adjusted timing.
Waking up at 4.30am to heat up or fry stuff for Sahur.
Although there won’t be a major visiting on Syawal, still looking forward to the day!
And I almost forgotten what happened in my Ramadan 11 years ago.
Guess it’s a good thing that I’ve finally moved on.

Probably and hopefully the ONLY thing that I would shop during CB.
But this is a stock up item and it’s a huge deal of 1 for 1!
And of course got my points and a free GYM bag!
Not that gym’s my kinda thing but a bag’s way better than those free samples.

Glad that the husband bought this for me now that even having Raya cookies would be a far cry. These are yummy when you popped one or two but not more than that.
With a cashew base and the crunchiness of the colourful pops at the end of every bite.
😍😍😍😍

CB15

Our PM made the announcement to extend another month of CB.
With even stricter measures and more closures.
Although Hari Raya will be 360 degree different from before, I believe in Allah’s plans and timing. Insha Allah. Will miss the parents and sis tremendously but let’s look at the brighter side of things.

- I could sleep in a little longer since husband’s WFH
- We could focus on performing our Puasa Ibadah (I wanna khatam pls!)
- Hari Raya will be alot simpler, less tiring and more intimate.

When you cannot go out to Nature, Allah brings Nature to your home.
A pretty butterfly at our service yard window.

This pretty yellow bird has been singing his lungs out at our living room’s window a few times! And he sings loudly.

Insha Allah more variety of cooked food for the family.
Pandan roti kirai.

And for the first time made Tahu Begedil that looked like Tahu Sumbat instead.

I’m already at episode 16 for this Meow Secret Boy kdrama.
More to binge watch soon! 📺

How to survive CB - Day 13

Endorphins! Loads of them.
Surviving CB with tonnes of good food. Alhamdulillah.
And consistent Quran readings. Insha Allah.

I was thinking of meat when bro msg saying he’s otw with lamb chop.
Alhamdulillah! What a perfect timing! 😍

Thanks to cousin for influencing me to grab these goodies from Shopee!
Believe it or not we’re only left with Crazy Choc.
Good for breakfast and tea breaks (according to the Mister).

I was busy and just done with cooking Nasi Lemak when the cousin msg.
Suddenly a delivery came with Swensens box.
Filled with 15 scoops! 🍦

Nicely packaged especially as gifts!
So thankful.

And these Tahu Begedil was ordered by bro.
It was really filling and crispy.

Gonna be an annual thing to order Epok2 sardin from cousin.
And so glad that she has stocks so I could fry them immediately the next day.
Tak tunggu Puasa pun.

Ahah. The husband ordered second time from Hipsterbake.
Can’t wait to try the Cashew and pretty Icy Shrooms.

Today finally delivery from the old neighbor’s wife came!
Looks so good!
Can’t wait to have them later!!! 🤤

The husband gave a Satay treat to the parents, bro and bro-in-law.
Alhamdulillah for the thoughtful sharing of rezeki. 🤲

Staying positive

Such a high number today but having faith that it will improve in the next few days.
Got a timely reminder to air my bags so decided to do it today.

Grateful and happy with my collection thus far.
And so thankful that I did not even buy any of them.
Can’t believe too that my 7 year old Speedy is still in good condition. 😍

Circuit Breaker Day 12

Never would anyone imagine that this is happening right now in 2020.
I’ve asked the husband not long ago like how did SARS disappear last time.
All I remembered was it happened during my last semester in Poly and our IA got shortened about a month less and Grad Night cancelled.
But I don’t remember having shops to close.

Despite the virus conquering every region in the world, Nature heals at the same time.
Alot less of air pollution when humans forced to stay home.
We get to do things that we cannot possibly can because of worldly life’s commitments.

We can:
- Spend all the time in the day together as a family at the comfort of our homes
- Solat Jemaah without any delays
- Have meals together for breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Spend alot lesser since shops are closed and we cannot go out

The only peeve would be not being able to visit the parents and have Mom’s food.

Thankfully alot of the stores went online.
Besides the mainstream supermarkets, we had to look further for individual stores selling basic food such as vegetables.
Alhamdulillah managed to order a bulk of then via FB.

And with platforms such as Shopee, managed to buy Stay home bundles to last us as long as possible without the need to go to physical stores.

May everyone I know stay safe and healthy and May Allah grant patience and health to our foreign workers whom are so much affected and infected. 🤲

Dad’s 71st

Grateful and thankful that we still got the chance to celebrate Dad’s 71st.
Takeaway some food, sis ordered cake and his gift was delivered earlier on too.

No group photo cos we safe distancing whenever possible.
Cake was flourless from All Things Delicious.

Thanks to SIL, we managed to figure out how to lay the chair to almost flat position.
Hope Dad likes his gift.
