Packed!

 It’s been busy since Saturday! Tired but a good kind of tiredness. Happy that I got lunch dates and tmr there’s another appt in the morning after which finally could wind down for the weekend.

Precious lunch date

 When was the last time we had a proper date? 

Like finally his break is here and so he suggested to go Jewel for lunch! And how funny when the boy planned his weekend out with Jewel on Sat and Nenek’s on Sunday. 😂 Oh rupanye dia jealous nak Jewel juga. Anyways dates nowadays always comes with curfew.

6th Bday celebration

 Finally! 6th Bday celebration done and over with!

Phew. Always had to crack my brain to think of goodie bags, customised cake and food for Sep celebration. I mean even though there’re not as many guests this time. And I’m amazed that the boy has been really patient in not unwrapping his presents till today. 

His cake this year, requested for the same theme as last year. Dino cake from Butter Studio.

Alhamdulillah for the rezeki. Bro bought Satay, Oyster Omelette, BBQ wings while Mak brought pulut, curry and roti kirai. We ordered Hipsterbake Garlic bread, Qi Ji popiah and Naan sets from Prata Wala.

He’s so blessed to have received gifts from his cousins, Obeks and Uncle and even Ah Ma. Gotta consistently remind him to be thankful always. 

He turns 6!

 Alhamdulillah! Can’t believe it’s been 6 years and before I knew it, he’s going to have his own path.

So we had the pre-celebration last weekend, tonight was just us. Tmr gonna be a bigger party but probably the smallest party he ever will have.

There’s no way a birthday that has to go by without a cake. We’ve of course ordered a special one for him tmr so today I brazenly just singgah our hood mall (pasar) to grab a cake.

And yaaaaaaaaas! Rezeki dia! 

I briefly checked out the cakes from outside the shop then when I saw a minion I knew I had to grab it. But when I got home I realised it’s a girl minion. Haha. Anyways the kid rationalize and said there’s no girl minion, he’s just wearing a wig. Haha. And lucky us it’s really a good size for an intimate celebration.

Glad I survived the short bus trip! Thanks to my strategy in going out earlier and taking the rather empty bus. So sweet of his teacher to snap a Thank You video. Hopefully the kids and teachers and assistants were happy to receive a little gift from him. 🥰

The boy’s pre-birthday celebration

 No wonder they said be careful what you wish for. Just last yr I told the boy that his next party would be in 16yrs’ time. And Covid hit us and we couldn’t celebrate it with the extended family and friends this time. But we got it sorted I hope. This wkend will be for the Obek from the husband’s side and next gonna be with his Nenek pulak.

Alhamdulillah. SIL always always brings so much rezeki. She brought her specialty Bubur Chacha (which has became the regular on his bday menu), even brought along Sambal Ayam and presents and gave the boy bday angpao. 

Not only SIL, his other Obek (trust me he’s blessed with many many Obeks) - my cousin, sent us pretty Donuts when he found out that we’re having a little celebration. So grateful and blessed. Hopefully BIL liked his lil surprise of soccer cupcakes!

T’s 2nd!

 Did I last meet her on her 1st bday? And she’s turning 2 this weekend! Just like that!

Glad that I could squeeze time to crash her mommy’s wfh to pass her gift and played with her for a bit. Need a proper playdate soon!

Sampan Ride

 It was a rather uneventful term break cos we didn’t plan for many outings or staycay 😫 but Alhamdulillah I guess the kid did enjoy his break still! And we began the holiday with Duck Tour and ended it with a Sampan Ride. 🚣‍♂️

Sep Birthday

 We celebrated the SIL’s birthday last weekend with Nasi Ambeng from Coba Coba. There’s wings too, takoyaki, tahu begedil. A full feast. But there’s no birthday cake. 😬

Instead, there’s a birthday macaron! 

His 3rd Duck Tour

The kid’s gotten the free whistle and every group received that cute duckie keyring with a bell attached.

Never fails to stand pretty with a little bit of sunset splashing on the tower and of course, loves the reflection too!

A glimpse of the latest Apple Store. 

 Amazingly he took his 3rd Duck Tour in conjunction of his birthday month. Was imagining probably just us crazy ones spending money on such rides but ahuh, we weren’t the only ones. In fact, our vehicle was full (with compliance of social distancing). A total of 4 groups. 

I must say that all 3 rides were sort of unique and gave us different experiences. It was lightly drizzling this time and a little cloudy so we couldn’t catch a pretty sunset as per last year. And with the Covid situation, the guide talked less and instead replaced with as informative recordings. 

Hello term break!

 Is this like gonna be a weird break because you can’t plan for staycation or JB trip or Batam getaway? 😏 So just gonna take a back seat and try to slow down a little (oh precious late mornings!). 

And I’m happy that I received all of my order deliveries today! Yay

Yes first up! My halal mooncakes from 7-11.

Came with this supercool ball bag. The best part is I didn’t pay for it cos we had Dairy Farm vouchers from our TV purchase. So all $400 used up.

The strap’s kind of short and pls dun judge my burik. Haha. Needs more Zumba sesh. 

This was a rather impromptu online purchase.

I guess those ads in Social Media works well.

Saw that Puma had further discounts on sale items (20%) and that it was ending. So decided to buy this HKxPuma sweater. It was originally priced at $109 but I got it for abt $31 only! 😍 Had to add the bag sekali kan. Cos it’s spacious and light and HK too. So rare of me to buy matching stuff. Oh Puma’s online purchase and delivery was smooth by the way. Delivery was quick and thankfully, I just reached home and the guy came. I was still with my tudung and mask on. 

Look at the beautiful mess! Finally I caved in and bought the Duck shopper bag. But hey it’s a collab with my childhood cartoonist, Lat!

And the material of the bag is different from the one I got from Jaya Grocer. So I guess I can use this one for malls instead of marketing!
