Being thankful and grateful is a little hard to be honest. Because when you see others having more than what you already have, it either motivates or influences you to achieve and want the same things or even bigger. But look at the list above! I am so really thankful for my husband and family in creating memories for keeps. Syukur Alhamdulillah.

A little reunion 🧕🏼🧕🏼🙎🏻‍♀️

My first partner initiated a little gathering since we can’t join the rest for the annual meet-up. And sometimes if not most times, impromptu or last minute plans turn out the best! So today  met them exes (one whom was my partner and even senior in secondary school and the other go all the way back to 2006). Boy, that’s already 12 years ago!
So thankful and glad that we’re still in touch till this very day.
From being single to being mommies, it’s really joyful to be going through different phases of life with people whom you chose (or chose you) to stay.

Glad they enjoyed the afternoon tea and hopefully we could do this annually.

The boy is so lucky to be receiving gifts continuously from my friends.

🇲🇾 26-29 December 2018

Alhamdulillah! Our 4 day KL trip was rather a smooth one. Quite anxious for this trip because the first whereby we go during peak holiday season. And also because the first time we went with the parents, they went MIA at KLIA. Then second time with sis, her luggage got lost but returned a few days later.
And even more paranoid when the bff msg saying that she missed her flight home from Korea. Alhamdulillah we had a quick brunch at Dome’s and the customs took a while (baggage check-in was fast moving although there’s a queue).

Syukur too that we got a room upgrade to a club room even though there’s not much of a view. And besides the not so planned itinerary, we managed to eat at places that I wanted.
Oh actually the kid’s got fever almost after our first dinner.
Alhamdulillah that we found medicine and tried to keep his temp down and he recovered fully in 2 days’ time.
Besides his occasional whines he really layan our jalan2 wout much fuss.

Main highlight of the trip should be the early meal at Din by Din Tai Fung. We were the second customers but were there before it opens.
True enough their baos were yummy and even the boy shared the beef noodle with me.
Tried Serai too and their Nasi Kerabu was flavourful.
Oh gosh don’t let me start on those yummy cronuts from Ms Dottys.
Sedap seh altho I’m not a fan of salted egg cos it’s not that strong for these yummy pastries. The other on the pic is Ondeh2.

Did my research and found out that Huda Beauty lippies are a few dollars cheaper than SG’s. Went to Starhill and Ave K but was told that it’s only avail at KLCC.
Got my Shero! So for memory’s sake, here’s the itinerary for this trip.

Day 1: Farenheit 88 - Serai (Pavilion)
Day 2: Bokitta (Parkson) - Padini - Kaison - MPH (MyTown) - Berjaya Timesquare - H&M home - Sephora (Ave K) - Ms Dottys (KLCC)
Day 3: Din by Din Tai Fung (KLCC) - Padini - Aeon - Metrojaya (MidValley Megamall) - Mdm Kwan’s (KLCC)

Eateries: Serai, Vivo Pizza, Ms Dottys, Din by Din Tai Fung, Mdm Kwan’s and Dome.

👓

Alhamdulillah. Month of giving.
And I’ve finally used the voucher today received on my birthday months back.
Went to a few outlets and only today the husband chose the design for me.
After Burberry (managed to sell off at Carousell), Ray Ban and another Owndays, decided that I should just stick to really similar boring designs.
But hey this time it’s not tortoise shell but light brown.
Not sure how long it’s going to last (cos it’s really my kitchen goggles as well), hopefully it could at least survive for a year.

Loving the cleaning cloth and a little regret that I didn’t take their holiday paperbag. 😏

Precious annual movie date - Aquaman

Yes! It was our annual movie date today and it was impromptu. Had to watch at the cinema nearest to Mom’s and can you believe it? The boy called me twice within that 2hr20mins long movie. Seriously though, long movies make me anxious and restless too. Like today, I had to go pee in the middle of the movie cos cannot tahan. Kept looking at my watch too.
But I treasure such precious movie treat as it’s once a year thing.

Finally got my sweet popcorn (although not GV’s)!

Year End gathering

They’ve invited me for so many years but only this year I was able to join. Thanks husband! And even better it’s nearer to home at the next neighbourhood EC.
Yeap I’ve been through years with this group of sis’ friends.
Despite their high earnings jobs, they’re all very humble and geeky.
Travelled with most of them to Bali or even Down Under, they came to the son’s 1st birthday celebration and attended my wedding too!

The spread of Laksa, Kuih Pie Tee and Ayam Koro.

This was yummy and chewy.
Had 2 of them!

The laksa.

The kuih pie tee was delish too and I can’t remember how many I had!

Half of these belong to the boy. So lucky to have received so many gifts from all the druggist aunties! Gonna make him thank them tomorrow.
And that Guess bag, gosh!
She always always buys me stuff from overseas.

Loves her lights from BKK which was only abt $4+!

At the drop-off point.

Longest day ever (besides the delivery day)

Yes it was! Started as early as 5am and now finally on bed, trying to turn in. It was really a long Friday and marks the beginning of the husband’s longest leave (for the year).
Felt like a weekend today cos went to Mom’s, the bestie dropped by with the kids for playdate and we went to see those LED lights show over at the mall.

Alhamdulillah that the bff had returned safely and although we did not managed to properly catch up on her trip, I’m pretty sure that the kids enjoyed themselves extremely.

Just look at the number of ole2 she gotten for me.
My personal fave would be that air zam2 in my fave pink bottle and the 1st time ever that I received a souvenir pen from Makkah.🥰

Finally the boy watched the lights show and took his fave carousel ride. 🎠
And I can’t wait for tomorrow’s gathering with the sis’ gang at the husband’s dream EC.
Then gotta prepare for our short getaway next week.
Then a really short time to prepare for his new term.
Already breathless just typing the list down. 😂

Annual meet-up with the Exes

Really happy that we managed to meet again this year!
Ok so last year there was this hiccup of the marathon road blocked so we all had trouble getting to the venue. This time there was a train delay for YL and not only that, she went to the wrong venue! 😬 Guess these are the things that make memories for our annual
meet-up. Can’t believe that it has been more than 10 years ago since I knew them. 🥰
I’m really glad and thankful that we’re still so much in touch although it’s annual now.

My heart’s and tummy’s soooo FULL! 💞

The ex bought me that cute Le Sport Sac x Minions.
Gotta unbox the laneige soon!

✅ Pororo Park

The kid had a blast today playing at Pororo Park SG.
Not a fan of indoor playgrounds but been meaning to visit this park at least till he’s older.
So brought up the idea to him and yeap he’s interested although he didn’t really fancy watching the shows in Youtube.
Decided to bring him on a weekday so that he didn’t have time limit to play.
Ended up spending 3hrs in there.
Not bad because he took a few rounds of the train ride, watched the Sing-a-long with bubble party as well as Meet and Greet.
Worth a try though some may say that the place a little small.

Sing-a-long session with Pororo and Loopy  followed by bubble party.

Sing-a-long with Meet and Greet!

One of the sections. This one’s filled with plastic balls.

A DIY deco cupcake as requested by the boy.

Our tired feet. Puma vs Adidas 🦶

Feeling blessed 🥰

Alhamdulillah. Truly grateful for this friendship since ages ago. When others decide to keep you in their life, there’s got to be a really great reason for that. So I’m appreciating every little meet up despite work and family commitments.

Dahla they had to take leave, they’re willing to travel to my place for the gathering and even brought gifts. So blessed. May Allah repay their generosity abundantly.

That little small box of lippies made me throw the idea of getting more during the upcoming trip.  Thought I wanted to get 1 more Huda Beauty and Fenty luminizer.
And that huge tin of treats, so pink and vibrant!
The tin’s definitely a keeper.

Unboxed the gifts from sis, the desk calendar with motivational quotes for both worlds and also can’t wait to munch on them biscuits.

The husband came home early today so I dragged them boys to Ikea.
Although we had dinner, we still ate meatballs and wings there.
Followed by ice cream. 😳

Sweet

Really enjoyed my weekend with sis especially. She bought me biscuits and lunch and waffles today! Super ultra fat already.

The nearby waffle place called Hey Sugar.
It’s simple yet yummy.

First time ordered from Cult Beauty, UK.
It took some time for delivery but was free so probably worth the wait.
Nicely packaged too.

Another nicely packaged item from sis.
2019 calendar and can’t wait to use it.

Saturday with sis

Sis slept over for 2 nights and had a really enjoyable and fulfilling day today. The kid did not want to tag along as he’s tired since probably last weekend which involved a lot of walking for him. So he decided to stay home with the Dad and cycled instead.
Definitely made shopping for me easier and more items being crossed from the list!
Kinda excited cos the upcoming weekends are going to be filled with gatherings.
Especially for this upcoming one whereby I’ll be meeting the exes on an annual basis.

Took the bus to Suntec and luckily for us, the road closure ended so no need to walk a distance. Grabbed the tudungs from my 2nd favourite Maysixteen.
Decided to just grab my favourite colours only as they came in different styles.
Ended up with 4 new tudungs!

Sis dropped by Crabtree and Evelyn to buy stuff and walked out with a huge bag. Adoi.
Had to lug it all the way to Farrer Park cos I needed to go to Decathlon.
Alhamdulillah got all that I wanted!
A total of 8 backpacks in there!
And the ‘ghost’ bus came and we managed to sit on lower deck.

Tried the newly halal certified The Lazy Garden and the menu’s quite extensive.
Plenty of choices and what’s better, there’s a 1 for 1 permanent promotion.
So had to try the Unagi claypot rice and sis ordered the following breakfast set.

The huge and fluffy 3 pancakes were yummy and reminded me of Mac’s.
The eggs was good too and the salmon! Yums.
After the brief lunch, headed to Decathlon to grab the gifts before heading home.
For now I cannot wait to meet the girls come Monday! 🥰

Long weekend. Not

The weekend’s felt weird had to slpover at Mom’s on Friday.
Felt longer than usual as I got to meet the best friend before her Umrah journey.
Alhamdulillah. Hope she makes a doa (or two) for me.
Had lunch with her and at night went to send the parents for their super long bus ride.
Saturday came and we went to Vivocity to grab the boy’s dream pots and pans for his kitchen. He was really happy and played with his kitchen for hours.
Lucky for him as Vivocity’s Toys ‘r’ us had many stocks available unlike Tampines.

Yeap that’s the set of pots and pans on the top.
And the star rug’s from 3littlepicks! 💕

Guess what are these????
Nope not biscuits or plain spaghetti canisters BUT bath towels!
Really cool packaging.

Took a bus to Haji Lane and alamak. Serik la.
Just grab what I wanna buy next time online since the store has no stock.
The store’s not that conducive to shop unlike the Pavilion’s branch.
Went home disappointed.

No comfirmed plans for today but ended up in the South again!
Had lunch at Ion before taking the train to Harbourfront and walked for more than 1km to RWS. Then suddenly drizzle la. So we had bubble tea (luckily have seats) while waiting for the downpour to pass. Then played the Carnival Games.
Started with the ‘Hook a duck’ and the boy won 2 tiny toys.
Next the husband tried the Blocks Buster which consists of 3 wooden blocks that made up a tower. He paid $10 for 3 shots but was given extra shot.
1st throw, he missed! When he threw the 2nd shot, all were hit but only 2 dropped off.
The 3rd throw was a miss too!
Guess we were all anxious by then but the husband suddenly threw the 4th and last shot and hit off the final block!
He won the huge furry dog.
Woa the boy was really happy carrying the huge toy all the way home.
Even sleeping with it on the train. 🐻
Can’t wait for the next weekend already. 😭
