Food Review II - 7-11

This time I had one of the favourites, Nasi Briyani.
And I also tried the Hanjuku eggs.

$6.40 lunch meal.

The butter chicken’s flavourful but the rice a little hard this time.
The eggs were soft and had perfect runny yolks.
Just not so right combination cos them eggs tasted a little sweet.

Capri by Fraser, Changi

Aha. Reporting ‘live’ from Capri. We have always been not giving this place a chance preferring Crowne Plaza instead. So we took bus today and had early lunch at Jewel.
Dropped by the Robinsons Expo sale and was late for check-in due to the long queue to pay at Robinsons. The son found his Jurassic World trolley bag at a discount there.
Was surprised to see a long queue of slightly more than 10 people for check-in at 3-ish. Their official check-in is at 2pm.
The queue wasn’t moving for a good 10mins until the manager took 1 counter. Within 10mins I believed he has settled 3 guests!
He saved the day! Indeed.

The room’s probably the biggest ever.

Daiso haul and I got 4 Tees at super cheap prices over at Uniqlo Jewel. 😆
$4.90 each for 3 pieces and the other at $7.90!

Managed to enjoy my brief bath time with Lush jelly bomb! 🐢

When the jokes ain’t funny... anymore

Syaitan has won tonight. You read it right.
If it’s tiring for you, I hope you don’t feel that I cannot be tired as well.
I settled him, vacuumed, folded the laundry, brought in the stuff for you, only to be SCREAMED at. Really? I deserved it? Treating me like I’m one of your kids?
I know my stand now. I know it well.
It’s been an exhausting weekend. The weekend that I need to break down.
Guess this is all of me now.

Done the exchange - went to Mom’s - went to cousin’s - bought the fan - back to mom’s - back home

Despite all these negative feelings, I’m still thankful for the ever giving cousin.
He helped me buy the OOS lippies and even gave us snacks.
Alhamdulillah.
I will keep on trying to look at the brighter side every single day.
Insha Allah.

Fulfilling Saturday

It was indeed a fulfilling day.
Had to go Tamp to collect receipt because needed to do an exchange.
But it’s an opportunity to meet up with the girlfriend again.
Can’t wait to have a playdate with the kids because I seriously cannot imagine 6 of them playing together. It will be beyond chaotic and fun.

So I unboxed the gifts from the girls and check these out!
Been ducked totally.
Always been wanting to try their cosmetics besides lipsticks but ended up not buying every time. And look what I got!
The colors of the All Eye Ask palette are all neutral and nude.
Can’t wait to put them on! 🦆

Despite the trip to Tamp, I managed to do laundry and cooked tom yum for today.
And still attend the talk in the evening.
The goodie bag contents! Aiya I should have bought Ustazah’s book just now.
Lessons learnt but basically the takeaway was to know and how to increase your iman and taqwa. We cannot blame or use our environment as the reason for us to behave in certain ways. And the 5 attributes mentioned:
- you can be a successful woman first (before having a partner and not be successful only when you found one)
- intelligent in making choices
- confident and know what you want
- have courage and be brave
- to have ihsan and compassion

Easier said than done of course but let’s try little by little. ❤️
Probably gonna be another long day tomorrow but definitely looking forward to the next weekend already!

These are the girlfriends from more than a decade ago.
I am so lucky and blessed that I have friends from different stages of my life for keeps still.
With these ones, we have been through so much of significant events of our lives together and syukur that we’re all mothers now. ❤️

The mummy of 3 whipped Baked pasta for us and we finished the tray up la seh.

As usual every time we meet, there’s always this exchange of gifts.
Thank you.

These were what I gotten for them.
Hope they love it. Plus the kids of course.

FB had to remind me of the date when the husband added me.
It’s been a decade and one of these girlfriends was my lil ms cupid. 💘

Food review - Seven Eleven

It’s been some time that I had Spag from 7-11.
Wanted to have it yesterday but ended up having LJS instead.
So today after a brief grocery shopping, I went over to 7-11 and grabbed these.

And my complete lunch and dessert amounted to $11+.
Since I’m re-heating the Spag at home, I always add a cili padi to spice it up.
And I’ve been missing ba chang from Swee Heng yang kat Jwest so this one from 7-11 was just okay. It lacks the spiciness though.
The bubble tea from Taiwan was diluted and the bubbles were softer.

It’s yummy!

Mustafa Centre - short retail therapy

It’s been too long since the last visit to Mustafa. Today had that crazy plan to go with sis.
So crazy right on a Saturday night with Deepavali coming up.
We took Grab and it was a smooth ride there then took cab home.

Look at what we hauled! 🤭
A total of $207+. Well that’s simply because sis bought swimming costume (ard $85 in total).
The rest mostly on facial wash and scrubs.
Even got facial masks as well.
Anyway gonna give Guardian a try next time cos saw some masks from Korea there. 😍
Used to buy branded watches or perfumes from Mustafa but now I prefer to buy them from the original boutique or department stores instead.
Unless you’re looking for old school brands then could give a try at Mustafa.

Children’s Day 2019

So the kid’s had his celebration yesterday at the school.
It was better than last year because this time round the games were managed by the teachers. They were creatively done too and I cannot imagine the amount of effort they had put in. As we were experienced participants, we managed to complete the whole carnival within half an hour.

These were his gifts from his Teacher, Lao Shi and Cikgu.
Alhamdulillah.

We managed to book tics to Bicentennial Experience for today.
The husband had to rush his lunch hour just so that he could bring the kid here.
He was supposed to go with his classmates but he was down with fever that time.
It was really a mixed emotions kind of throwback of our country’s history.
Never felt more proud than ever and that the all 5 acts were so interesting!
Act 1 involved real actors and I kena jeling seh. 😏
There’s 1 with rain and the other Act that turned your seats around.

Saw Battlebox and it’s kinda emotional cos I worked at Fort Siloso before and there’s a connection between the two. Never stayed at this hotel but guess never will.
Only went to Fort Canning last time for dates. 😆
