The Other Best Friends

These 2 best friends, I don’t know where to start.

We go waaaaaaay back to Primary 1. 

We danced together in Malay Dance and went on to different secondary schools.

Yes there weren’t pagers, handphones at that time.

But we managed to always always keep in touch by sending cards or writing letters.

Of course, we’ve changed with time but our friendship remains the same.

And today, they gave me so many presents besides their precious time to meet.

Huge amount of vouchers, cake, card, balloon and tudung. 💕

May Allah grant them abundance of rezeki and good health always.

One of the Best Friends 👭

I thank Allah that I’m being blessed with such a precious handful of best friends.

Lucky enough to still be in touch with best friends from Pri school, Sec school and Poly.

We have successfully passed through the test of time.

With different steadies (boyfriends), schools, workplace and right now till we’re building our own families and home. Cannot be grateful enough for them to still create time to meet despite their life commitments. I’m truly blessed. 🤗

This is one true best friend from Poly who stood by me through my darkest hour, knowing how sinned I am yet she did not leave my side. 

The one whom I rescued through the window when she got accidentally locked in in her own house on our exam day.

The one who if not sleeping through lectures kept chit chatting with me till the lecturer called out our names. Yes she napped in lectures all with the bekas on her face. 🙄

The one who would asked me to accompany her while she skipped her tutoring sessions.

The one who tried a tube dress as a maxi skirt. 😂

The one I was on full shift during her big day.

And of course the only one who volunteered willingly to be with me throughout my big day too! 💕

Thank you for the lunch treat today at Seoul Garden.

And always always including birthday cards in my presents.

Most importantly Thank You for being my best friend for the past 18 years of my life.

It’s only Tuesday but I was so productive yesterday. 💪

✅ Bought insurance

✅ Ordered wifi router

✅ Ordered rice online and due delivery today

✅ Ironed the weekly bundle

✅ Made appointment with tailor

Let me keep these archived before they dry up.

Can’t get over how p r e t t y these flowers are and this could be the first time that the husband had gotten me Red Roses. He’s given me Gerberas cos he knew that was my fave flowers.

Can’t believe the long weekend is almost over. Luckily tomorrow M still on holiday so won’t be rushing for us. Had dinner at Swensens today and dropped by Miniso to look for clear organizers and make-up brush. But couldn’t find any.

However, husband bought me this Penguin ($24.90) instead so that he could dispose my Cat from KL. But M didn’t let him do that. 🤣
This penguin plushie is from the Korean drama (While You Were sleeping) but I’ve yet to watch. Too bad SG did not sell The Goblin’s but this is cuter.
Big and fluffy.
And cheaper than the black and pink unicorn.

I don’t dare to count the number of plush toys I have. 🤭

Beach Day

Going to the beach was one of the birthday plans I had. Too bad bro could not join us but Alhamdulillah the weather’s been real good for a day at the beach.

Mom was looking forward to it too as we planned for her to cook noodles while I bake wings.

Sentosa holds countless memories for me since I was a child.

Mom used to bring us over during the school holidays by Ferry.

It was where I had my 1st job too for 2 years.

We went out early today meeting at 9.30am

By the time we left the island, the crowd just began flowing in.

Went ahead to visit Istana after that.

Forgot how long the walk in was but it was really hot despite the greens.

M had such a long day and he’s totally flat out now. 🤣

Marina Bay Carnival x Uncle Ringo 🎠

Husband finally brought us to Marina Bay Carnival! So excited cause I’ve researched on which games to play (for instant wins). As it’s CNY eve, there wasn’t a crowd. No queues either. So admission and getting on the rides were a breeze.

- Bought $30 credit
- M and sis took the first ride (Lightning Mcqueen car, $6 per ride x2)
- Walked over to find Hook a bag game (Won a tiny pug and M’s already delighted, $6)
- M didn’t want to take Carousel cause it looked like it’s going too fast (sis and I took instead $8 x 2)
- Needed to top up credits so spent another $40
- Walked over to the other section and M did fishing ($5 and luckily won a cute mushroom, girl was nice to even let him choose the color)
- Sis decided to try Star Flyer ($10)
- M took a train with husband ($6 x 2)
- Fished another round and we managed to get 0 points 🤣

Total damage at carnival : $70 (bal $4)

Wanted to go home but M mentioned that there’s supposed to be dinosaurs. So told husband to drop by River Hongbao as it’s nearby. Bus stop was nearby too so at least we didn’t have to walk far. We didn’t join the crowd over at the River Hongbao. His dinosaur train was near to the entrance. So walked over to Esplanade and cab home. Such a long day but it’s a great start to the long weekend!

Short week ahead! 🏝

The weekend’s almost over and a super short week ahead! 

Husband’s in good mood today that he bought M his favourite and first Dinosaur plush toy.

And got me a Unicorn night light.

Been wanting one but haven’t decide on which to get.

This 🦖 T-rex is quite big and huggable.

M was so happy and thanked his dad before sleep just now. 💕

Was thinking if I should get the rainbow light from Typo but guess this one’s way better!

Loves the rainbow hair. 🌈

Belated birthday spree 🎁

Saturday’s finally here and I’m happy that I’ve gotten my wishlist presents from the siblings! 

Went on a shopping spree with sis today. 

Invited votes for the choice of my presents and here’s the results.

But I’ve gotten them both.

$255 bracelet using $100 vouchers. 😍

And super love these Puma Basket Heart!

They had just released the PumaXHelloKitty but nah.

And this is lighter than the other pink design.

Love that it comes with satin lace. 💕

Proud

I am proud of myself today because I’ve achieved so much in a day.

It’s not always that I feel this way.

The only time I remembered about being proud was my bff.

She was proud of me as I was promoted.

Things I’ve done today:

- Changed bedsheet

- Laundry (hanging out and folding them)

- Sent and fetched M

- Ironed the weekly bundle and a lot more

- Whipped nasi lemak complete with baked wings

Gotta thank the husband for helping with the dishes and feeding M dinner.

At the end of the day I wondered how I got the energy to do all that.

Only to realise that I’ve eaten 3 ice cream, countless snacks and chicken. 🤭

Glad that I got to meet the Secondary School best friend for lunch yesterday. She was my Daytona and Ice Kacang sidekick more than 2 decades ago. 

Had favourite Jinjja and the noodles oh so yummy.

Birthday Gratitude ❤️

Syukur Alhamdulillah. Although sis is currently away, I did not really feel her absence. Had a few surprises today. And am so thankful and blessed for my tiny group of best friends doa and wishes.

1st stop was to get complimentary firehouse from Swensens.

Sweet of the manager to wish me personally.

Before we went out for early lunch, bro surprised me at the door with a chocolate cake.

Still not cut cos we went out after that.

After Swensens, husband brought me to my favourite store at MBS.

Today’s service was not that great cos it was getting busy and thankfully, I’ve emailed the manager earlier. Hence, transaction was brief.

However, couldn’t understand why they cannot standardized the packing process.

Like can’t it always be ribboned up?

Saw a guy rejecting the huge box after payment. 😳

The holiday paperbag is my only consolation for today’s experience.

Mom passed me their presents.

The jubah was nicely wrapped and this gotta be my most eleborate presents complete with a birthday card. 😍 There’s card, paperbag, present and ang pow.

When bro reached mom’s house, they brought along Swensens’ rocher cake!

Fixed!

Alhamdulillah. He’s been adapting well and looking forward to classes (or rather end of classes)! Heh. It’s been tiring but I’m getting the routine. Glad that February’s finally here. And can I start countdown to the next trip coming up next month? 😍
