Not so annual movie date

 I cannot believe that our last annual movie date was back in 2019 at JP. Well I guess after that covid happened and we didn’t go to the movies anymore. 

And today’s movie was really impromptu eh. Wanted to just have lunch and go back before picking up the son. Then checked the movie timings and can selit so we hurried over and bought tics! The son already mentioned alot of time that he didn’t wanna watch it so we just went ahead. Apakah. When I told him abt our movie date, member nangis. Jealous la tu. 🙄

Saybons was simple but delish! It was great to share too and we spent less than $30 for smoked salmon pasta, choc cheese crepe, fries and a drink. 

Haiz really treasure these precious pockets of date time with the husb. ❤️

Back to the school

 

Alhamdulillah for this school break. And this has got to be my fave picture for the June holiday. Looking so calm yet the eyes were deep. Staring and blinking at us, upside down. Though we didn’t travel this time, we spent and went to quite a bit of places. Like the husb got me my staycay bag, 3 dresses and new shoes, and the son got his most wanted toy and staycations (means pool time). 

Thankful. 

Husb’s been busy with work and it didn’t help that his timeline’s different from the son. But glad he could still take leave and bring us out. And amidst the holidays, Alhamdulillah we celebrated Aidil Adha and feasted at BIL’s and Mom’s and yesssss durian included. 

Now’s that the new timetable’s out, reality’s setting in.

Back to spellings, ejaan and all those drilling.

Juni staycay

 Besides staying at Conrad for 3D2N, we booked Pan Pac Orchard for the 1st time. 

As it’s slightly off the main road, we tried not to go out unnecessarily. 

Welcomed into the room with this. 

Probably for Father’s Day. 

The pool’s so much fun and looked prettier from the reflection. As it’s kinda shaded, it’s really chilling to be laying and swimming there. 

Spot us 3! Yeap. The pool was ours eh. There’s another strip of pool on the other side of the bridge.

The rest of the guests were just chilling.

Looks so nice with the lights and all but water gonna be all cold. Son so happy he swam twice during our stay.

Of course refilling their infused water too. 

Been a while

 

Pretty colours! Been a while since I bought something branded. Got new shoes cos my 4 year old TB espadrilles da broken. Tahan ye for 4 years and I used them rather often. This was quite chaotic to purchase cos the outlet we went da takde stock. I had to go to MBS while husb and son went for their Friday prayers in town.

Cooling down

 

Just when I thought we should be cooling down for the sch hols fun, we ended up having way too much fun at National Museum. Wanted to go there specifically for the Ranger Buddies but our initial plan was to go to the beach. Oil spill cancelled our plans and that’s how we ended up at the museum instead. He’s probably the tallest kid there but bet he enjoyed the stations completing them in under 20mins. Not bad eh dapat badge. 

Went up and saw another activity which he completed and received a pencil case filled with stationeries. I think we’re getting disciplined with our timings each time we’re out cos we left home after zohor and managed to reach home before evening. Furthermore after the museum visit, we dropped by Orchard to grab my bag. Aha the bag that I wanted just for the slpover and the actual bag that I wanted will be restocked this week! Bleargh. 

Started my Sunday and also Raya eve so so early at Arab St. Dragged by the sis to accompany her for a reading sesh at Wardah. Not the 1st time that I get to meet a writer but I’ve met Neil Humphreys years ago and even got a signed poster from him. Anyways sis bought me this book using her roses and also a pretty shimmer shimmer dress as upah. Heh. Alhamdulillah. 

Bought this top finally which came in a soft pouch. 🩵

June sch hols

His school break over in a week. Geez. 

Finally managed to go to Children’s Museum. It’s free but the tics usually snapped up quite fast. He’s probably not gonna be interested in museums by next year. Cos he’s at the stage where some things just seemed to be a little childish for him. 

We went up to the Ion Sky quite impromptu. After a presie hunt with the jiran. Quite eventful too cos we went Ion then Suntec then home. Felt good to be able to cab home to 1 destination. 😂 

Watched Garfield at PS for the 1st time for the son. Just cause I wanted that tumbler. Heh. We didn’t even lunch or dinner outside but husb bought us Secret Recipe cakes to bring home. Yums!

Then the day came for Zoo! Usually the husb took in Aug but this time he tried for June and got it. So rushing cos for zoo/ river wonders in the 1st half of the day and had to check in later part. But so thankful for the great weather, free tram rides and finally managed to go on the river quest ride. Cos it always rains for the past few years. Anyways, regret not getting their new souvenir tee. Hope he had extra fun cos we dragged his friend along!

 

After checking in, we decided to see the Children’s Fest but it was quite late and they were closing soon. So didn’t get to do the activities and we went again the next day. Happy that the husb won this Anxious after 2 games so that’s $16 for this. Hah. He got a keychain for the 1st game. And after completing the activities, the son redeemed a keychain and spinned the wheel to get a free ‘jibbitz’ siap ketuk me $4 for another 2 add on jibbitz.

Saw the shows at Jurassic Nest before and after lunch. And got to try the dam nasi briyani too. Walked over to MBS and they went to take the sampan ride while we brisk walked to grab cousin’s presie. Glad that I cld pass to him the next day cos he’s working nearby. And we singgah Fountain of Wealth unplanned. We were walking pass when they just opened. 

I’ve always wanted to support the Art Faculty. 

Ideas to get for the teachers this year!

Loves social enterprise purchases. And I also bought a Strawberry Shortcake tote bag from Cotton On foundation. ❤️ Son’s super happy cos he finally bought the smasher that he’s been patiently waiting for since last mth.

Superwoman

Yes I am. Checked out from Conrad at noon, did the laundry (washed, angkat lipat simpan), cooked lunch and got ready to go out again. But proud that we went out and back for 4 hours. 

Pretty sure the son enjoyed himself thoroughly. 

My eastwest still looking good. 

These just from a 3D2N staycay eh. There’s like a basketball, a skeleton head, silver coin in there. Our 7th stay at the same hotel eh. 

So happy and grateful for these cutesy souvenirs from BKK! Esp that puffy bag. 🖤

Ultra tired but contented

 Wanted to just go return the library books yesterday but turned out we went to Mom’s first then library.

Told the boy to borrow 10 books only but ended up with 15 ye. Da berangkut. 

Got home and cooked lagi.

Today was supposed to chill at home but change of plans. 

Bro called and asked if we wanted the Nasi Kerabu.

Told him to get 1 ayam set but he bought 2 ayam set and 1 mutton. Tsk. Mind you we had lunch at 11am and Nasi Kerabu came at 1.30pm. So we ate then went out. 

Saw these at Mustafa. Nostalgic ye.

Walked over to City Square and eh eh. So much covered up though the shops mostly remained opened. Boy was happy he’s gotten his Minecraft tees from Uniqlo.

Saw Adidas and lucky us we found something for each of us. Track pants for both father and son and a long sleeve ‘jersey’ kinda top for me and sis. 

And they having 50% storewide ye. 😃

We were so full after we had this pancakes platter till we didn’t even eat dinner. Alhamdulillah. 

Hump Day

 

While yesterday was such a productive day (did the laundry, son washed his shoes) completing most of my sch hols tasks, today was special!

Went out with the jiran mainly to get her birthday gift and also for another, it was such a fun and rather impromptu outing. Went to town and Suntec. 

Also bought quite a few stuff for myself like this irresistible Lotso bag. 😬

Perk me up

No Monday blues cos went to collect ole-ole from Sis. ❤️

Can’t believe those lip mattes cost only $2 eh! Pelampau. 

And husb bought me these yesterday!
