3D2N staycay

It’s quite rare for us to staycay for 3 days but when the husband suggested last minute for the long weekend, it felt so good! As if we went away for a trip! Padahal back to the hotel where we celebrated our 5 years anniversary 6 months back. And this time round, we were pleased and enjoyed our stay just as the first! Lucky us got the offer deal and even room upgraded! Loved that they provided drinks for pool users so that we’re all hydrated in this hot hot weather!

This wasn’t a night view but pre-dawn right after Solat Subuh.

Second Day

Woah. Didn’t know that staycation can be as tiring as a holiday. We went to OCK for breakfast and it rained quite heavy so we decided to go to MBS straight. Disappointingly we didn’t get anything from there and made our way back to hotel. For a swim!

It wasn’t sunny as it was just after the heavy downpour. 

Swam for about an hour and we got ready to go for lunch.

What’s tiring was we needed to go out for every meal.

We had 4 fingers over at Marina and walked to Raffles City. 

Then walked back to Conrad. Penat!

Can’t get over how cute the bear is!

No wonder the guests been posting pics of him all over IG.

Alhamdulillah! So from Toys’r’us to Smiggle la to Robinsons la, finally settled all the presents. Hope to pass them to the best friend soon.

And yay! After AW lab la Vans la Social Foot la finally got a new casual shoes from Fila and the husband’s got a backpack! 🎒 

Conrad Centennial

Staycation! Can’t believe that up till now I have yet to plan for family holidays for this year. Really don’t feel like going anywhere and a staycation always sound much better. Was pleased that the reception welcomed us back and we got a room upgrade to Premium King (around $475 per night and got complimentary chocs too)! Apa tak? We returned less than 6 months! And the kid’s happy that we got the modern bear! 🐻 

Cute right? It looks bigger than the previous one we got!

GOMAWOYO

Yay sis is back safe and sound in the wee hours this morning. Wanted to fetch her but tak kesampaian. When I messaged her she was already at our door.

So wanna know what she got us?

The kid had requested for her to buy him Pororo T-shirt but don’t have.

So she bought him everything Pororo.

Fork and spoon, jelly and a campervan.

And also the Tayo bus set.

Look at what she got ME! 20pcs of face masks, 2 long-sleeve T-shirts (sailormoon), 3 sunscreen (I asked for 1), a FILA sling bag and Jasmine socks! 😍

‘Performance Appraisal’

My Saturday started rather late today. Urmm maybe not. Cos I cooked mee goreng for the husband’s early lunch as he had his first Archery lesson today.

His session was merely 2 hours then we met to go to Geylang together.

The husband got me my Appraisal gift for 2018.

Been wanting to have a diamond band for engagement last time but the husband preferred a 1 diamond ring instead. So this time around he said okay!

So this is a 6 diamond (0.75 carat) Cinta Abadi ring.

Nama pun. Actually I find that it didn’t really match to stack below my Cartier but the husband seems to like it. So yeap! Settled for this. Anyway never been to a goldsmith that's so crowded that it didn't even feel like being at one. Adoi.

The kid amik chan je ketok his Tok for his Baju Raya.

And of all colours he wanted a blue and chose a Frozen kinda blue.

Selamat lah sapa nak match dengan dia. 😑

Dad’s Birthday!

Today Dad turns 70! Grateful to be able to celebrate his special day. Of course we went Batam to celebrate in advance and I really think that he’s liking Batam now that he went there twice already. So today after cake cutting, we went Al-Azhar for dinner.

And our first time using this ‘fireworks’ candle! 🎇 

We didn’t know what to get for Dad and ended up the husband bought him a Samsonite luggage and the brother bought him a new TV!

Such a lucky Dad! 😋

My stomach’s so full lucky can tahan till home.

I had Garlic Naan with Butter chicken and a bit of Mom’s mee hoon bandung.

There was satay too and I shared Ice Kacang with the birthday boy.

M i d w e e k

Surviving the week. What a thunderstorm this morning but Alhamdulillah it reda when the husband went out. And yesterday I was thinking of my ex-colleague/ neighbour then she msg la! What a telepathy. Although we’’ve been neighbours for almost 5 years, we rarely meet because our daily schedule differs.

So she msg me yesterday saying that she’d be coming over to pass me something.

In the midst of me boiling the mutton curry, she came with her boy.

Of course I packed something little for her like foodstuff from Batam and Penang.

She gave her son’s birthday goodie box and even balloon for my kid.

And even even that yummy little bottle of choc pods!

So sweet and thoughtful of her because this is definitely not the first time.

Seriously she’s like one of my Minah friends (think lotsa earrings on a ear), but I wish I have her heart. Always thinking of others and never fail to drop by my place for Raya.

I am so thankful, grateful and blessed to have a handful of constant friends.
From Pri Sch, Sec Sch, Poly and even my ex-colleagues turned best girlfriends, all still chose to remain in my life. Alhamdulillah.
May our friendship always always win over the tests of time! 💕
