Teacher’s Day

The boy’s 1st ever teacher’s day. Cannot imagine the challenges teachers face daily dealing with the kids. Anyway, I’ve planned rather early on the gifts.

And even passed to the teachers early too since there was no celebration planned.

It looked like really alot of stuff in the bag but just wanted to let them know how much we appreciate their efforts in educating the kids and helping them grow.

Got the items mainly from Kaison.

5. Victoria’s secret mist (got them on offer)

So happy too that the BFF wished our sec sch Maths/ PE teacher.

Funny how he acknowledged us as gals when we’re so old now.

Guess we’ll forever be his students.

Could tell how thankful he was cos he thanked twice.

Of course eh as it’s been more than 20years ago seh.

Haiz, emo. How time flies.

3littlepicks having their storewide sale and I finally gave in.

Checked Ikea and Kaison for monstera leaves but either too expensive or too fake.

I wanted to get 1 large but the husband suggested to get 2.

He wanted 1 too.

So bought all 3 sizes and a square pot coaster in gold.

Delivery was really fast as I ordered Tuesday and parcel arrived today!

Time to search for a vase!

Such a hurry

The week’s almost fly by just like that. Probably cos it was PH midweek. 
Got to attend another wedding tomorrow.
And will be having 2 appts Mon and Tue.
Such a busy week ahead although it’s going to be a short one.

Had a haircut appt early noon and had the time to walk down the colourful lane at Arab Street. Had to snap a pose for memories. And for the first time ever in my life I went for a pixie cut. It has always been ‘under the ears slope’ kinda haircut since primary sch days.

My heart breaks when I saw the length she cut and now my sides are totally like the boys in the house. Gosh. Not gonna brood over it as it will grow out eventually Insha Allah and gonna console myself that it will take probably another 2 years for the need of a new haircut.

Done slightly past 12pm and grabbed a total of 3.5kg of Ajwa.

Walked further to have lunch at Jinjja. Yums.

Then grabbed my special toothpaste over at Robinsons.

Afterwhich we got to settle the upcoming birthday presents! Yay. 

This was an impromptu dinner with the siblings. My fave at So Pho.
And now I’m a little hungry.
Already thinking of nasi sambal goreng for tomorrow.
And already looking forward to next weekend. How like that?

The Best deal!

This has got to be the cheapest Kate Spade item that I had. 

Been using Kate Spade covers for my handphones and even Ipad. 

Dragged the sis to the outlet store.

I hesitated to grab the cactus cover cos it’s rather big.

But it’s on a 92.5% off! YEAP. U read that right.

Usual price $120 and now it’s only $9. What?!?! 😱

There were other designs such a transparent one with a monkey at a corner (but no Kate Spade written), a DIY one with stickers provided and a silicon pink monkey.

Then I decided to settle for the cactus. 🌵

A little sad that the weekend is almost over but hey, short week ahead! 🤪

Seriously, I can’t move on...

Probably one of the best surprise from the husband.

And at the same time I can’t wait to move them to my vases. 💐

The 8th Birthday Celebration (since 2010)

Alhamdulillah this is the 8th year celebrating his birthday. His actual birthday is today but we already celebrated twice. First when the family gathered at our place and second when we went to get his birthday gift.

A little bummed that I did not manage to pre-order his birthday cake.

Customised cakes are everything for birthdays.

But glad that I found this cute little party hat candle somewhere in the storeroom.

And after two chocolate cakes, I’ve decided to get this fruit flan instead.

May Allah bless my husband always.

I was about to hang out the laundry when the door bell rang.

Delivery! Hmm wondered who wanted to give the husband a surprise.

But it turned out to be My surprise instead from the husband.

A giant 90cm bouquet of premium roses with eucalyptus! 💕

This has got to be the biggest bouquet I’ve ever received and totally unexpected.

He even included the chubby cheeks hedgehog. 

Such a pretty combo of pink roses and green eucalyptus.

And he had to include this sweet message. 🙃

His pre-birthday lunch

Last minute change of plans to find for his gift today instead of tomorrow! Such a lucky man cos Fred Perry having sale so had to buy him 2 shirts for the price of 1. He got a pink one and olive green. The colors which he has not own. Mostly blue and red that I got sick of ironing weekly. Am sure that he loved his presents.

We’re not fans of buffets so he wanted Swensens.

I know that he could only get the complimentary birthday firehouse on his actual birthday so I ordered brownies and requested for a candle instead.

Took a little extra effort to make his pre-birthday lunch special.

Aman was kind enough to help us snap pics from 2 different angles.

He has been spending on us without updating his own wardrobe.

Glad to buy him these 2 shirts as his presents.

We stumbled upon this popular cat brand from Japan and he wanted to get the backpack for me! 😁😁😁 And there’s a 10% discount!

The last green khaki piece left. 

Navy, light pink and black are also available but I still prefer this one.

The husband checked and decided to take this last piece. 💚

His early birthday celebration

Happy 53rd Singapore! How lucky I am to be born here and no matter how much I love to travel, always always feeling right at home upon reaching our shores.

That comfy and safe feeling replaced any uncertainties everytime I return from trips.

Initially planned to throw a little surprise celebration for the husband on Saturday.

Glad that we did it today as we had almost the whole day to celebrate.

So bro got the cake, sis bought his presents and I ordered pizza for lunch.

Fried bee hoon and some seaweed chicken as well.

Dad even shopped for him jeans as presents.

The Blackout cake from Twelve Cupcakes.

4 regular pizzas and so happy that I got to enjoy the $0.53 wingstreetbox from PizzaHut!

Sis bought him track pants from his favourite Adidas and dad bought him jeans! 👖 

I’ll hunt for his gift this weekend instead. 🤗

Another Kaison trip! 😍

Yes! I can’t believe myself that I went JB last Sunday and not a week later I’m back at JB. But this time around together with BIL, parents and sis. Main objective was to visit an Aunt and of course gotta include a Kaison trip! And Padini toooooo!

Sis bought me a Naelofar in a lightest green that I could ever find.

Pretty!

Hmmm such boring colours but I bought bottoms this time at Padini.

The boy’s shorts going at RM9!!!!!!!!

That’s about $3 only seh.

And saw those Dino socks and decided to grab 2 packs as each costs about $6+.

Bought jogger pants for myself cos the material’s thin.

Didn’t realise that Tebrau has Akemi Uichi and they have stocks for these diffusers!

Each about $12+ only.

Yaaaaaas! Finally get to buy the $11+ stool! And yeap adding some greens into the home deco. And the boy’s teacher’s day gifts almost settled.

Got these for dinner and them chicken was spicy!

I think I could consolidate my next shopping list for Sep! 😍

Friday Catch-Up

I am so blessed that although I have left the workforce for about 4 years now, I am still very much in touch with most of my exes even from almost or more than a decade ago. Alhamdulillah. So glad that some of them remained and chose to stay friends till this very day. Am really fortunate too that my ex-partners (all 3 of them) are still with me.

They each have taught me so many invaluable life lessons and I’m stil learning from them through our friendship. Really. You could see who decided to leave and who decided to stay in your life. And they are my precious handful of girlfriends.

Just look at this one. She was my youngest partner but matured in so many ways.

Go Korea umpteen times still got me goodies.

And she’s due next month yet she planned an impromptu lunch date with me.

Can’t wait to see her mini soon!

Shopping spree across the Causeway

I just need these 2 shops at the malls and I’d be a happy shopper.

Kaison and Padini.

I could spend more than an hour in each shop.

Glad that Paradigm have both and even Apieu which is not available in SG.

These masks are at RM6.60 each but Buy 10 and get Free 5.

So each after discount would be $1.50.

Sis wanted the limited edition Doraemon lip tint and lipstick.

His KikiLala shoes from Parkson.

RM55.50 ($18.75) an early birthday present from Fafa.

His shorts are RM17.90 each ($6.05)!.

Even when SG Cotton On having sale no shorts sells at below $10.

Bought him 2 casual shorts and 2 home shorts.

I wanted to get casual long sleeve Tees for daily wear and I got good deals at 3 for RM47!!

Yeap! That’s like $5+ each Tee!!!!!!

And the black and white top was RM36.70 ($12.40)!!!! 🤗

I was really refraining myself from buying a lot from Kaison.

So I got their new arrival cushion covers with monstera leaf, a bird deco item and home slippers. Saving the rest of the wants for this weekend.

And these were a total of RM66+ (<$23)!!
